Beginners 12-day Course | Sunshine Network
Thai Yoga Massage is a transformative experience. A deep revolution in the way we move, interact, communicate and specially… the way we touch. The main ingredients of this 12-day program will be Vipassana Meditation, Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, AcroYoga and of course, lots of Thai Yoga Massage.
The structure and method of this course was created by Asokananda, the first westerner to write about Thai Massage in English/German. Asoka’s dedication, study and curiosity has been of great importance for the Northern Style of Thai Massage to expand limitlessly through the globe. His main teachers Chayuth and Pischest are the two thai masters behind everything we will share in this class. Today, Pichest is still teaching his unique and precise Static style with a strong emphasis on the principles of touch, body position and the use of gravity. Chayuth’s Dynamic approach, based on releasing tension through movement, rocking techniques and harmonic waves is the perfect complement to achieve relaxation, integration and flow. The combination of these two pillars of the northern style of Thai massage offers a holistic experience, a co-created Sacred Dance, a journey of mindfulness, balancing energy physically and emotionally with the ultimate goal of opening the heart for both, giver and receiver.
Pau started his spiritual journey in 2005 with his first trip to India that became a life-changing experience. He quit his job and his career as a journalist to study Yoga and, together with his brother Wari and his sister Mireia, they created the Omshanti Yoga Studio and later on, the Barcelona Yoga Conference. Yoga opened the doors, AcroYoga was the catalyzer… and finally, Thai Massage was the one that stole his heart. Over the years, his passion for Thai Massage has repeatedly brought him to the Lahu Village (northern Thailand) and the Sunshine House Greece (Evia). In 2014, Laurino Bertelli, his first inspiration and mentor, authorized him as a Sunshine Massage School teacher. He was also touched by the vision and dedication of Arjan Pischest, KrishnaTakis, David Lutt, Arno L’Hermitte, Itzhak Helman and Kaline Alayna Kelly. At the moment, he is engaged in a 5-year Osteopathy program at SICO (Switzerland).
